What Is SEO?
SEO stands for search engine optimization. When you go to Google (the most popular search engine) you key in words to find relevant websites. The higher your site shows up in the search engines the better chances your business or website will generate leads an visitors. Imagine if you typed in “Kansas City DWI” and you are DUI/DWI attorney; people typing in these keywords are very interested in your services. The result is you get more leads and potential business.
What Are Paid Searches?
This is call Google Adwords. This is NOT SEO. This is the advertisements on the right hand side of Google and top of Google. These operate as you will PPC (pay per click). Depending on the competition for your keywords you can pay .05 up to $50-60 per click. You can lose a lot of money learning PPC by trial and error. I do NOT specialize in PPC.
PPC vs SEO
PPC don’t get me wrong is good for getting targeted web traffic quickly. However, it comes with a price. I am not a PPC professional, but if you want to do PPC I would highly recommend you hire a professional to manage your campaigns.
How Long Does SEO Work Take?
It takes time and PPC is a short term high payoff while SEO is like a marathon. Takes lots of patients, but can make you LOTS of money further on down the road. SEO is a long term goal so if you don’t have the money to spend upfront without getting much ROI I would start a small PPC campaign to fund your SEO endeavors.
To be honest with you, you need to be patient with SEO because it can take 1-6 months depending on how hard or competitive your keywords are. Even with low competitive keywords you still need to wait for your backlinks to get cached and you move up in the search engines. I like to work on a monthly basis and quote you on work, and sometimes like to wait and see if you move up more in the search engines before doing unnecessary SEO work. The way I look at it if I can save you money with my expertise you will be happier with my service.
Backlinks And SEO?
Backlinks are other links coming to your website. A lot of newbie SEO “gurus” will tell you the more backlinks you have linking to your site the better you rank in the search engines. This isn’t ALWAYS true as strong backlinks can beat several thousand low quality backlinks.
What Can I Expect With SEO Work?
For starters I will have to conduct some keyword research to see what keywords you would like to try to rank for. I will then be able to give you some incite on how hard they are, and a rough time frame to see any results. Secondly, changes will need to be made to your website. This will include everything from adjusting your title tags, metas, ect. Reports will be run to show you what needs to be improved that will increase your chances of ranking in the search engines. Once all the research and adjustments are made I will begin working on bringing backlinks and moving you up in the search engines. I can provide you advice and some thoughts on your niche/website along the way. However, lots and lots of advice and phone interviews can be charged extra.
Why Should You Choose Me?
Not really a big person on talking myself up and saying I am better at SEO than all these SEO companies. However, I can tell you this I have beaten some VERY hard keywords in Google and SEO companies are my direct competition. If I can’t beat them then my sites don’t generate me money (as a result I can’t pay my bills). I stay current with SEO and am always perfecting my strategies. Other SEO companies will try to do the same and go through hundreds of clients a month. Sadly, they don’t care to keep their clients and they look elsewhere. Not me I take it personal and while my prices are higher than other competing companies I am confident if you hire me for SEO you will tell your friends about me. Think of it this way; do you pay more for Peyton Manning or take your chances with the rookie quarterback hoping cheaper will be as good?
